Watch “Florida” on #Vimeo https://vimeo.com/201363190?ref=tw-share
We’ve been to Miami multiple times by now, so this post has the best pictures(according to me) from all those trips! Most of the trips that we’ve made to Miami, have been really short ones – so each time we go there, we plan to do things that we haven’t done with the exception of South Beach! That’s always on my list! 😉
Contemporary yet historical, tiny but diverse, South Beach—Miami Beach’s long southern stretch down to its tip at South Pointe Park—commands hyperbole. It is the Miami stereotype come alive. Every Miami scene ever filmed in any movie seems to have been shot here. The golden sands and the almost turquoise waters are always cladded with young crowds!
Stroll along the Art Deco District containing more than 800 buildings dating from the 1920s to the ’40s! To gawk at the highest concentration of these streamlined, strikingly geometric structures in the U.S., take a walk along Ocean Drive north of 5th Street. The iconic candy color buildings will grab your attention almost instantaneously! We happened to be there one during a vintage car show – which enhanced the overall experience 🙂
Watch amazing street art at Wynwoods District – I was so impressed by it that I have a separate post all about it. Check it out here!
The Lincoln Road Mall is a mile-long, can’t-miss pedestrian shopping area. It has a ton of restaurants and shops worth visiting! The area hosts a farmers market on Sundays, morning yoga classes throughout the year and outdoor concerts 🙂 The unique sewing machine store was discovered here!
One of the other things that I recommend is riding the MetroMover while you are there. It’s soooo much fun! We took one to the PAMM! Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is a modern and contemporary art museum dedicated to collecting and exhibiting international art of the 20th and 21st centuries. It has creative and innovative art exhibitions to look at!
Even after visiting Miami thrice already, I don’t think I can say I’m done with this city yet! 😉
Coyo Taco ~ Upbeat spot for Mexican street food and the hour long queue to get those yummy Nopales tacos is totally worth it!! 🌮🌯🥑 #ruchyum #ruchyumrest #tacos #mexicanfood #travelpics #travelporn #travelblogger #girltraveler #foodpics #foodporn #foodstagram #foodphotography #guacamole #coyotas #foodie #nomnomnom #eeeeeats
On our way to the airport from the keys, we had a couple of hours to kill – so decided on taking a detour and exploring the Wynwood Walls!
The Wynwood Walls has brought the world’s greatest artists working in the graffiti and street art genre to Miami. Wynwood’s large stock of warehouse buildings, all with no windows, served as giant canvases to bring the greatest street art ever seen in one place.
Since its inception, the Wynwood Walls program has seen over 50 artists representing 16 countries and have covered over 80,000 square feet of walls. It’s also been listed as one of America’s hippest neighbourhood by Forbes!
My favorite artist was Eduardo Kobra – who had painted rebellious portraits in vibrant colors!
It’s a must-stop for graffiti buffs or anyone with a passion for the arts.
Another place that’s always been on my checklist is the Everglades National Park in Florida! The Everglades is an expansive area of land in south Florida, which consists of 1.5 million acres of wetland. It’s home to a wide variety of turtles, alligators, brown pelicans, water moccasins and eastern diamondback rattlesnakes to name a few. The best way to tour the Everglades in onboard an Airboat!
An airboat is a flat-bottomed vessel propelled in a forward direction by an aircraft-type propeller and powered by either an aircraft or automotive engine. They are commonly used for fishing, bowfishing, hunting, and ecotourism[src: wikipedia]. They are super fun to travel in and a very unique experience!
We signed up for the Everglades Safari Company eco-friendly adventure tour. It was a 40 minute tour – onboard an Airboat through the Jungle trail! Our guide stopped frequently to point out alligators and birds; he also gave information about the geography and history of the land. We saw sooo many alligators!! The guide knew the exact spots, carried a loaf of bread to tempt the alligators to come closer to the airboat – giving us ample opportunities to click pictures!
The couple of hours that we spent at Everglades were amazing and would highly recommend the airboat tour to everyone! 🙂

The US1 mile marker zero sign ~ It is said that a photograph here is proof that you have made it to the end of the road, escaped normal life on the mainland, and know the difference between too much work and too much play! Well, any thoughts on that?! 😬🤔😉 #ruchyum #zeromilemarker #ruchyumtravel #welltraveled #doyoutravel #mytinyatlas #wanderlust #floridakeys #florida #keywest #travelogue #travelporn #traveldiaries #usone #travelphotography
