Wilhelmina Bay, was our last stop on the cruise!πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΆπŸ›³ This triple bay next to the Antarctic Peninsula at the northern entrance of the Gerlache Strait is famous for its great mountainous scenery and fantastic icebergs.πŸ—»πŸ—»πŸ—»πŸ—» Soon we were surrounded by feasting humpback πŸ‹πŸ‹πŸ‹πŸ‹ whales and we gathered on the outer decks to enjoy their presence! There were flukes to be seen and engulfing gentle giants all around us.

Next day morning, we went zodiac cruising πŸ›³ in a small inlet at Flandres Bay at the southern end of the Gerlache Strait, covered with huge icebergs and surrounded by active glaciers, making their way down the mountain slopes right into the sea! πŸ—» 🌊😍 #ruchyum #ruchyumtravel #antarctica #antarcticaexpedition #besttripever #tripofalifetime

The next day, at six o’clock⌚️we were to cross the narrow Lemaire Channel from North to South. πŸ›³

ItΒ΄s a 7-mile long, one-mile wide passage running in a northeast-to-southwest direction from splitwind Island and False Cape Renard to Roullin Point and Cape Cloos. The passage separates Booth Island from the Antarctic Peninsula. πŸ—»πŸ—» Cruising the Lemaire was awesome 😍 and an adventureπŸ˜¬πŸ’πŸ» , as there was ice blocking the passage.
