Malai Modaks: A quick and delicious tasting modak made out of only 2 ingredients!
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes

Servings: makes 10 no.

2 1/4 cup Paneer
1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons Sweetened condensed milk
4-5 Saffron strands (optional)

1. Crumble the paneer into very small pieces. Or grate the paneer with fine grater. Put it in a pan along with the saffron.
2. Add condensed milk. Turn the heat on medium.
3. Mix it will and continue cooking with stirring constantly. Keep mixing and mashing the larger granules of paneer with spatula.
5. Cook till it comes together like a dough and leaves the sides of the pan, around 7-8 minutes.
6. Remove that into a plate. Let it cool.
7. Knead into a dough till it gets smooth. Don’t over do it.
8. Grease the mould using ghee and start shaping into modaks.

You can make ladoos or pedas too, using the same recipe.
